Well, Joe and I started buying all of our baby stuff. We ended up with a Winnie the Pooh bedding set and these BumGenius cloth diapers. We still have a lot left to do, but are definitely on our way. Everything is pretty much gender neutral as we are waiting for the big day to find out.
Last night, Joe and I had our weekly date night, and went to see Underworld: Rise of the Lycans. We expected it to be really bad, but it really wasn't quite as bad as I expected. Then we enjoyed some good old Outback Steakhouse. Can I just tell you how pleasant it is to be pretty much the only people out, since everyone one else was watching the Superbowl? Wow.
We enjoyed some lovely sun yesterday but today the snow has started again. We are expected to get up to 8 inches over the next few days where I live, but I think this should be the last big hurrah of the season. I am really ready for Spring! I miss my violets and daffodils...

Hey Amber! Glad you guys had a fun date night! Picking out nursery stuff is really fun! We thought about Pooh, but I believe we're going to go with pink/brown polka dot/stripe stuff... we'll see. :) Also, I wanted to tell you a girl I knew when I lived in Tennessee makes these neat fleece diaper covers for her cloth diapers that she uses. You should check her blog out, she just posted about it. It's on the left side of mine, She Can Laugh is the title.
Hope everything else is going well! And I wouldn't count on Spring being in Boone for another couple months. I say you have two or three more good snows left!
I LOVE Winnie the Pooh! One of my favorites as a little girl! Winnie the Pooh is totally gender-neutral too!!
Awesome! I love BG diapers! Also-be prepared to try others out-sometimes some diapers just don't fit baby like you may think. I've got probably 30 dif types of diapers! I really like Little Lambs which grow w baby from Newborn-3 yrs old! Explore and find what works for you-feel free to ask questions if you ever need to~tal knows my info! Oh and check out www.diaperswappers.com
Also-you won't need the fun wool covers your friend was talking about with your AIO (all in one) diapers. Wool are for diapers that don't have a PUL layer. But if you do get other types of diapers you can for sure knit longies or soakers and/or use/make recycled sweater covers! Check Ravelry.com for free knitting patterns on these! MY girls site who sells recycled covers is http://www.etsy.com/shop.php?user_id=29441&ga_search_query=bundle&ga_search_type=seller_usernames
