Patty Cake

Emily and I did some baking together today for the first time. It was not a cake, however, but blueberry muffins...yummy! I am really a muffin freak, aren't I? They are just so convenient in there shape and size for a snack on the go, and we always seem to be on the go. I feel much better about us grabbing something that is homemade with love and we know what is in it.

As you can see, Emily has strong enough neck muscles now to face forward. She loved it but finally fell asleep in the carrier at which point I put her down for a nap carrier and all. She is still sleeping as we speak. Hope you all are having a fabulous day!

Old Salem...no, not in Massachusetts

We took a quick trip to Old Salem, NC this past weekend as a farewell to my time off from work. The weather was great, but we did not love Old Salem and will probably not be going back again. Anyway, we had fun together and here are a few pics.

for only being woken up once last night! What a lucky mommy I am.

The Garden

Here are a few pics of the lovely tasties growing in the garden right now. We had fresh green beans with our dinner tonight. Yum!

I spent a few hours painting on the house today, and then made Shadow a second doggie bed; this one for the bedroom. I also bought material to make Emily Dear a quilt. And finally, we are going to try infant massage for the first time tonight after Emily Dear's bath.
